Stackwell 0400 000 000

About · The one in the van

One plumber. A known van. No call centre.

When you ring Stackwell you get Dean Stackwell. When a white van with a dented right-rear guards your driveway, the work is done by the person who quoted it.

Dean started as the apprentice nobody wanted — the teenager hauling copper offcuts around Coburg weatherboard restorations in 2009. Seven years, two employers and one plumbing licence later, the pattern was obvious: good work was rarely the problem, the runaround was.

So in 2016 Stackwell became a one-van answer to the runaround. One person quotes the job, one person does the job, one person stands behind it. There's no office to lose your message and no junior to learn on your tapware. The trade-off is honest: one van means sometimes the answer is "Thursday", not "we'll squeeze you in" and then a no-show.

The patch matters too. Everything from the Californian bungalows of Brunswick West to the weatherboard cottages of Yarraville throws different pipework at a plumber — 1890s galvanised, 1960s copper, 2020s heat pumps — and knowing which streets hide which surprises is why the van stays local. Inner north and west only. If you're east of Hoddle Street, Dean will happily recommend someone good and go fix a drain in Seddon instead.

What you'll notice

Small things, done every time

  1. Boots off

Shoe covers at the door, drop sheets under everything. Your floors outlive the invoice.

  2. On-time windows

A two-hour window, not "sometime between breakfast and dusk". Running late? You get a call, not a shrug.

  3. Price before parts

The fixed quote lands before anything is unscrewed. Surprises are quoted separately, in writing, before they happen.

  4. Readable paperwork

Invoices in plain English, certificates the same day, warranty terms you don't need a lawyer for.
